Should Microsoft slash the prices on the 360 even more?
If the prices were lower, do you believe more people would have bought that instead of Nintendo, sony etc. ?

Yes they can slash the price of Xbox 360 to gain more customers.. but if they are going to slash the price they will modify the xbox according to it..

they may or they may not slash the price it depends on the current market situation if the market for xbox lowers they will surely reduce the price.
