The Next-Gen PlayStation, Wii, Xbox GPU Spec Continues! AMD, Intel In, Nvidia Out?

Last week, I wrote about a rumor that Intel had secured a spot in the PlayStation 4, supposedly providing the graphics chip for Sony's next-generation console. VentureBeat's Dean Takahashi, one of the most astute gaming reporters in the mainstream press and an excellent dancer, continued the speculation. First, let's recap the rumors that are floating around: Intel won the design for the PS4 GPU, while AMD will be handling graphics chores for the next Wii and Xbox systems. Nvidia was (again, supposedly) left out in the cold for shafting Microsoft and Sony in the past.

I'm not nearly as tech educated as many of the guys/gals in this forum however, one thing I am well educated in, is in my wallet.

Coming up with all these new tech's is awesome but it needs to be affordable, especially in light of the current state of the economy.

I realize that hardcore gamers will spend whatever it takes, however if these companies want to "strike gold" they need to appeal to casual gamers as well just because the numbers are far larger.
