A record number of Xbox 360 console sales, as well as the quick-selling Kinect for Xbox 360, helped fuel record revenue results for Microsoft for the first quarter of 2011. Last quarter Microsoft saw a 13% year-over-year increase for the first three months of 2011.
2.7 million Xbox 360 units were sold, up from 1.5 million for the same period last year, representing a new quarterly record for the console.
