Topic: Enemy Territory: Quake Wars Review (Xbox 360)

The Quake name has been at the pinnacle of first-person shooters for some time, with the gameplay always cranked up to a furious, no-holds-barred level. And certainly the action in the latest entry from the growing Quake family, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, won’t be seen as letting up on the gas at all. However, in a way, that’s part of what makes it a disappointing release—that the pace is perhaps too high for the concept.

First, for those unaware of the different direction the game makers—publisher Activision, franchise champion id Software and the developer of the Xbox 360 version of ET:QW, Nerve Software—took with this entry, it’s best described as a team-based shooter in the Quake universe.
